Privacy Policy

TEF Canada Mock Exam is provided by SmartPrep Labs, TOO. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and how learners can request deletion.

Data We Collect

• Account information: Firebase user ID, sign-in provider, and email address when provided by Google or Apple.
• Learning activity: practice answers, mock exam progress, scores, training history, weak-area signals, and usage limits.
• Writing and speaking evidence: typed writing responses, recorded speaking audio, transcripts, and AI feedback reports when submitted.
• Purchase status: subscription entitlement status received from RevenueCat, Google Play, or Apple.
• Diagnostics: app version, platform, device information, and error information needed to keep the app working.

How We Use Data

We use this data to provide practice, mock exams, AI feedback, saved history, premium access, account support, abuse prevention, product reliability, and personalized training recommendations.

AI Processing

Writing and speaking submissions may be processed by backend AI providers to create scores, transcripts, rubric feedback, and improved sample answers. AI requests are routed through SmartPrep Labs backend services; API keys are not stored in the mobile app. Depending on the feature and provider availability, submitted text, photos of writing, or speaking audio may be processed by OpenAI, Groq, or Google Cloud Vertex AI. These providers receive only the submission and technical context needed to deliver the requested feature.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We use Firebase and Google Cloud for app infrastructure, RevenueCat and the platform stores for subscription status, and OpenAI, Groq, or Google Cloud Vertex AI for the optional AI features described above.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections. Premium entitlement and AI scoring decisions are handled by trusted backend services rather than by the mobile client.

Retention and Deletion

Learners can initiate account deletion directly from Settings in the app or request deletion through Account Deletion. Requests are normally completed within seven days. Deletion removes the Firebase account, account-linked app data, and user-owned cloud evidence, except records retained where required for fraud prevention, accounting, or legal compliance. Anonymous or aggregated information that no longer identifies the account may be retained.
